Description

This Maggini Copy is LOUD and has a surprisingly rich tone! Complete with the 4th turn in the scroll, and the double purfling, this violin is a great choice for an intermediate to advanced student, who is looking to step up to the next level.

This violin appears to be from the early 1900′s, and bears a Maggini Label (see images). The varnish is a red to yellow colored spirit varnish, which is in very good condition for its age. The varnish is all original, and there are no visible repairs on this instrument.

The back is two-piece maple with a light-to-medium flame with matching sides. The neck and scroll appear to also match the wood of the back and sides. The top is a tight-to-medium grained spruce. It has double purfling on the top and back, and has an extra turn in the scroll, which is common of the better Maggini copies.

This violin is in Excellent condition.
