Vi The Fiddler's New Tune Challenge

Hello, my friends!

This is the start of a new project. This is going to be a series, I don’t know how long. I’m going to post about one original tune a week for you.

This first one is called Jumping Jenny. I just wrote it recently, and it’s a fun reel.

The goal of this project is to get you to respond. I’m going to play the tune, and then I want to hear your take on this tune. I want to hear your version, what you do to it.

I’m going to link to the sheet music for Free in the in the notes below. And I would like you to download that sheet music, if you need to. Listen to this, if you prefer to do it that way, and create something new, create something fun.

Here’s Jumping Jenny! It’s the first tune in my New Tune Challenge series. Watch the video, learn the tune from the video or the free sheet music posted below, and record your version of Jumping Jenny and send me a link.

I have linked a backing track and play along track for you to practice with, as well as sheet music if you have trouble learning by ear.

That’s my challenge to you! I want to hear what you come up with! Have fun, I can’t wait to hear your take on the tune.
