I was so excited to get a text message from Tyler Andal last week saying that he was in Loveland, CO. Tyler is a Nashville fiddler, so I was naturally surprised that he showed up in my neck of the woods.
As luck would have it, Tyler was playing in the pit orchestra of a nationally touring Christmas show that was making a stop at the Budweiser Event Center, and he had some time before the sound check to play a little bit of music with me.
Tyler is a great fiddler, as well as being a great Guitar, Tenor Guitar, and Banjo Player. He even plays a mean mandolin.
We played for a couple of hours and handed instruments back and forth. We even got a visit from Steven Curtis Chapman, who was one of the headliners at the show.
He introduced himself as Steven, and we chatted a bit about how much he likes bluegrass music. After talking for a few minutes, I realized who he was. He is truly an authentic-and down-to-earth guy.
This is the only tune we captured from the adventure, but it was a whole lot of fun. It really is a blessing to have good friends like Tyler to make music with!
