Hello my friends!
The latest installment of my New Tune Challenge is here!
This one was inspired by Scottish Fiddler, Amy Lewis, who sent me a slip jig that she wrote. I haven’t worked her tune up yet, but it is on my todo list. Sorry Amy!
When she mentioned the slip jig she wrote, it reminded me of how much I like slip jigs, and I started rolling this melody around in my head. After a few days, this is what it became.
I can’t wait to hear what you do with this tune. AND, just to be clear, this is not a political statement of any sort, it’s just a Slippery Slip Jig. The first rolling figure is the slippery part. 😉
Listen to my recording, learn it by ear or by the sheet music below, and record your version and send me a link.
* Post a link to your video in the comments below, or share it on my Facebook page. And, if you want to just share it with me (not publicly), you can share the link with me on my contact page.
I can’t wait to hear your take on Slippery Slope Jig! Show me what you’ve got.
