Hello, my friends!
Here’s another addition to my New Tune Challenge series. This one is kind of a Christmasy tune called Russian Christmas. It’s got a Eastern European or Russian kind of sound to it.
Last weekend, while my wife Christina and I were riding in the car (she was driving), I started humming a tune that came into my head into my phone. And she said, “that sounds a little Christmasy,” but I wasn’t writing with the intent to be Christmasy.
But her suggestion planted a Christmas music seed in my brain. About five minutes later, the A part to this tune came out. And then as I ruminated on that, and the B part came together as well.
So fresh, this tune is not even 48 hours old. Happy Early Christmas! Listen to the tune, learn it from the sheet music or the recording, and record your version of Russian Christmas so I can hear your take on it.
Listen to my recording, learn it by ear or by the sheet music below, and record your version and send me a link.
