Hi I’m Vi Wickam, and this is another Quick Tip!
Leave your instrument out!
Leave it where it’s easy to get to. Whatever instrument you want to play, you’re going to play more if you leave it out.
Don’t put it away in a case and shove the case under your bed. Because out of sight, is out of mind. And out of mind means you’re not going to practice.
So get your fiddle out, get your guitar out, get your banjo out, hang it up on the wall. Set it on your piano. Put it somewhere it’s easy to get to, where you see it everyday when you walk past it.
But make sure it’s safe! Don’t put it on the chair, because putting it on the chair means someone might step on it, and that’s bad playing.
But set it somewhere where it’s safe, where it’s out in the open, where you’re going to see it everyday when you walk by it.
Every time you walk by it, you can be like “Hum! I should pick that up and give it a play!”
And when you play more, you play better, and have more fun!
So put your instruments out where you can see them, and where you’re going to play them.
Have an awesome week!
