New My Talent Forge Series – Yoga for Musicians

Yoga for MusiciansI just added a new series to the [my] Talent Forge Library. This series features a new instructor, Stephanie Sever, LMT. Stephanie is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Yoga Instructor and Physical Therapist. The new series is called Yoga for Musicians. It features a daily warmup (to be used daily), and an additional video to follow the warmup. Topics of these other videos are:

  • Diaphragm
  • Balance
  • Shoulders
  • Hands
  • Neck
  • Hips

It is important for us as musicians to realize that our bodies are the key to our ability to play music. If our body is out of balance that lack of balance transfers into our music. Yoga helps create a better connection between your body and your mind, and increases your awareness of your body. These are things that all of use could use more of in our practice of music. Watch the introduction below, to get an idea of what this is about and how practicing Yoga can help improve your physical fitness and musicianship. And, if you have a friend who could use this, have themsignup using this link, so Stephanie gets the credit. 😉

ps. Here is a free sample of the Yoga for Musicians Series, just in case you are interested in taking care of your body. 😉
