This post is especially for the kids attending the Off The Hook Arts Summer Music Camp. And, the rest of you get to enjoy it as well. The instructions below are for the kids. You adults can do whatever you want to do. 😉
I have created two lessons here, one for the melody and one for the harmony. I would like you to learn the melody of the tune well before you start on the harmony. You really need to have a solid understanding of the melody before you try to tackle adding to it.
I would like you to also learn this by ear. Get the tune in your head so that you can sing the melody. If you can sing the tune in your head, you have memorized it. If you aren’t playing what you are hearing in your head, you need to adjust each note that sounds off until what you are playing sounds like what you hear in your head.
You can replay the videos as many times as you want to get the tune down!
