A group of community-minded musicians will gather for a charity concert at annual Musicians Making A Difference (MMAD) Festival, which takes place from 6-9pm on Saturday, January 3rd, 2015 in Denver at The Living Room (1055 Broadway).
Spearheaded by Anne-Margaret Redding, a NYC musician and Colorado native, this music festival first took place in 2003 at the infamous CBGBs Gallery in downtown Manhattan. The MMAD FEST celebrates the power of music in changing lives and brings awareness to a wide array of musicians’ efforts: from writing music for terminally ill children, to celebrating diversity, to being a voice for exposing injustices.
Held annually in NYC, this is the first year the MMAD FEST makes it way to AMR’s hometown city of Denver. Raised in Littleton, influenced by the Columbine High School Massacre which took place in 1999, AMR is an international speaker and performer inspiring high school and college students to dream big with her message: Live Your Passion! The $5 suggested donation goes towards the LYP Tour’s international outreach.
