Jam Session Survival Skills Fiddle Workshop

June 24, 2015 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm UTC-7

$20
Fiddle workshops

Jamming is a great way to get comfortable playing music with others, but playing in a jam session can be a bit daunting, especially for beginners. In this workshop, you will learn about different types of Jam Sessions and how they operate, Jam Session etiquette, how to listen for Chord Changes, and what key the tune is in. We will also cover playing accompaniment, chords, fills and licks – what to play when you aren’t playing the lead. This workshop is appropriate for all levels.

Members of the NOTFA will be charged a fee of $10 per workshop. Non-members will be charged a fee of $20 per workshop. Children under 12 participating in workshops may be accompanied by a non-paying adult. Workshop signups will be available Sunday, June 21, across from registration tables: The workshops are held in the Band Room.
