This year I’ll be teaching a couple classes on Fiddle Hell Online! Registration is now open, and includes access to all workshops, concerts and jam sessions.
Jam Session Survival Skills – 11/6/2020 – 6:30-7:30pm MDT
Jamming is a great way to get comfortable playing music with others, but playing in a jam session can be a bit daunting, especially for beginners. In this workshop at Fiddle Hell Online, you will learn about different types of Jam Sessions and how they operate, Jam Session etiquette, how to listen for Chord Changes, and what key the tune is in. Vi will also cover playing accompaniment, chords, fills and licks – what to play when you aren’t playing the lead.
While I will be teaching on fiddle, the workshop is fine for other instruments as well. More advanced players who aren’t comfortable with jamming are welcome as well.
