Hi, this is Steve Eulberg, here with another Habit for your Healthy Music Habitat.
I’m thinking about courage…
Courage is that thing which helps you be creative. It’s the thing that when you don’t have it- you say you’re “discouraged”.
And when you receive it, you can say you’re “encouraged”.
My dulcimer mentor, Esther Kreek, always recognized that she was an encourager. She is the person who gave me my first gig when I collapsed- when it felt like a collapse to me, in a contest.
She’s also the one who booked me for the first festival I ever taught at. She said, “I want to give you a chance to have a leg up!”
That was encouragement! When you’re feeling discouraged, think of someone you can encourage. Think of someone who encouraged you…
May courage get stronger!
