Hi everybody! Vi Wickam here for myTalentForge.com.

Here’s your Quick Tip of the Week- give yoga a try!

If you don’t like the idea of yoga, you could start out your morning with calisthenics instead, which kind of relate.

Stretches and some strength exercises for your core, can work wonders for your balance and your music playing.

So, today’s Quick Tip is give yoga a try. I’ve been doing yoga off and on probably for the last 5 years or so, maybe 6 years.

And every morning, or at least most mornings, I do some warm-ups of my body with some cat-cow stretches, and some barrel rolls, and I do some arm swings (which aren’t actually yoga…), and I do some downward-dog, which is another yoga position…

I stretch out my calves and my shoulders… but you can give it a try.

Start out with something called “restorative yoga”, which is easier on your body, it’s more stretchy-oreinted rather than strength-oriented.

Give yourself some time to stretch into it- it’ll take you about 6 weeks to start feeling stronger and more comfortable with it.

But I highly recommend giving it a go. I’m not suggesting you go like full-core, Bikram hot yoga or anything here… just give yoga a try.

And see you how you like it! But give yourself 6 weeks. 6 weeks of trying it before you can tell me it didn’t work for me, because you can’t find that out in 2 sessions.

Have a great week. I’ll see you next time!
