Bittersweet – Fiddle Tune a Day – Day 178

Bittersweet is another tune that I wrote. I came up with it a couple of years ago while I was taking a ride on my bicycle. I was in the midst of getting divorced at the time, and there was some sadness (getting divorced isn’t any fun.) However, there is also sweetness in the opportunities of the future, and the freedom that I could see on the horizon.

There was definitely light at the end of the tunnel, and since then I met a lovely lady named Christina, and she is an amazing woman. One of my earlier tunes was written for Christina. Here’s the link if you didn’t catch it the first time around.

I LOVE this tune! Do you think you will be putting the sheet music and a tutorial on Talentforge? If not, how can I get the sheet music for it. I’d love to play it. Thanks for playing this. It’s really beautiful.

This tune you feel as much as you hear…the emotional reconciliations are the last (and hardest) ones to resolve, you really feel the sadness in it- the silence after the last note is like- Yeah, this is over, need to move on now…I really liked it, but it makes me sad.

When I wrote Bittersweet, it was a challenging time in my life, but life is good now. It’s good to be able to use this song to take a quick trip back into those emotions without having to stay there.

Thanks, Paul. I have written out sheet music for Bittersweet. Contact me via my website, and I will send you a copy. I am working toward creating an e-book full of tunes I have written. It's a good thing that I'm not going to run out of things to do any time soon. 🙂

      Hi Mary Ann,

I don’t have the transcription completed yet for Bittersweet, but it is on my list. If you are subscribed to my blog list, or Fiddle Tune a Day, you will get an email notification when I complete it, which should be soon.

      Thanks,
