Champion Fiddler, Inspired Performer
I first heard Great Big Taters in a Sandy Land played by Dick Barrett. It’s an oldtime fiddle tune with a similar melody to Sally Ann. Since I happened to be at the Great Sand Dunes National Park today, I couldn’t think of a better tune to play for my fiddle tune a day.
There will be a fiddle contest in Greeley Colorado this coming weekend: Saturday July 30 9am-6pm. Registration starts at 9. Open stage 10-11. Contest at 11. At the Weld county fair.
