Can’t Stop the Music

Why Music Should Be Used More Effectively in Education

This is a video of me giving my signature talk – Can’t Stop the Music: Why Music Should Be Used More Effectively in Education, at TEDx Fort Collins. If you aren’t familiar with TED Talks, you really need to check TED out.

TED is an annual conference where amazing people from around the world give talks about topics where they have expertise and passion. These talks are interesting, and funny, and often inspiring.

This fall, I had the opportunity to be one of the speakers at TEDxFoCo, the locally organized TED event for Fort Collins.  TEDx events are like mini TED events that happen all over the world.

It was an honor to be a part of the event, and to share the stage with some amazing presenters.

And if you have a group, who would benefit from the information, or enjoy seeing my presentation, Can’t Stop the Music, contact me, and I would be happy to come present to your group.

Impressive talk and good arguments for keeping music in our schools. Are you familiar with a group called Playing For Change? They are advocating globally for music education in some unique ways. See them at playingforchange.org.
    Thank you.

  2. Thanks Sharon. I haven’t heard of Playing for Change. I will check them out.
